About Onimo
Onimo is building a privacy-first finder for the things you don’t want to lose, starting with cats. The Onimo S is a small device that attaches to the collar and works over long-range radio instead of GPS alone, so it keeps working where a tracker goes quiet: in a shed, behind a fence, deep in a hedge.
The Onimo F (Finder) is the home unit that does the finding. One F serves the household and works with several Onimo S devices. Cats come first for a practical reason: a cat that goes missing is usually still close to home, well within range of its own Finder.
Finders also listen for each other’s devices. A cat that strays beyond its own street is picked up by another household’s Finder and appears on its owner’s map, and nowhere else: the household whose Finder helped never sees a thing. Every Finder added makes the network denser for everyone.
Location data stays in the owner’s account. Onimo never sells it and never shares it. What that means in detail, including where the promise stops, is set out at onimo.org.
